Nintendo Announce Expansion Pass for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will receive post-launch DLC, Nintendo has announced.

Players will be able to purchase an Expansion Pass for Breath of the Wild when the game officially launches on March 3rd for £17.99/€19.99, gaining access to 2 additional pieces of content when they become available later in 2017.

Purchasing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild‘s Expansion Pass immediately grants players 3 new Treasure Chests that will appear in the game’s Great Plateau area, including a Nintendo Switch logo shirt which Link can wear throughout his adventure.

Breath of the Wild‘s first content pack will be available this summer and contains a Cave of Trials challenge, along with a new hard mode and new feature for the in-game map.

The second content pack is scheduled to release in Holiday 2017 and introduces new challenges that allows players to enjoy a new dungeon and a new original story.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s Expansion Pass will be available for both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U versions of the game, although Nintendo claims players will not be available to purchase each content pack individually.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3rd in stores and on Nintendo eShop.
