A rumor is making the rounds online today involving Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Rogue, which may see a re-release on newer consoles.
Rogue was released in November of 2014 on Xbox 360 and PS3 at the same time as Assassin’s Creed Unity for the Xbox One and PS4. An entry getting a re-release is nothing new for Assassin’s Creed with the formerly PS Vita-exclusive Liberation having seen a second release on Xbox 360 and PS3 in January of 2014. Additionally, Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations were re-released in The Ezio Collection released last year.
The rumor of Assassin’s Creed Rogue receiving a re-release comes from Twitter account AccessTheAnimus, an account that aims to deliver “In-depth articles, analyses, and news about the Assassin’s Creed Universe”. They found three different Italian retailers had listings for this possible release with two of those retailers listing a March 18th street date, a Sunday.
This should be taken with a grain of salt but, should it prove to be true, would you be interested in it? pic.twitter.com/7L6jSHQhgP

Currently, Assassin’s Creed Rogue is playable on Xbox 360, Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility, PS3, and Windows PCs.
Ubisoft has thus far not commented on the validity of the rumor. If and when it comes to light as being a true release, you can find all the info right here.
