According to the Spring edition of licensing trade publication Licensing Source Book Europe, we could be seeing a lot more of lovable marsupial Crash Bandicoot over the course of the next 5 years.
Crash enjoyed a triumphant revival in 2017 thanks to the release of Activision’s remastered Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy which launched exclusively for PS4, or so we thought. In the Spring edition of the DHX Brands Licensing Source Book Europe, there is a mention that the trilogy will make its way to Nintendo Switch and PC this year, though no actual date is given nor any mention of a potential Xbox One release.
The report goes on to say that Activision has a 5-year plan for Crash that includes a new game set to debut in 2019 and another set to arrive 3 years later in 2022 but no platforms are mentioned.
At the time of writing, Activision has yet to announce its future plans for Crash and as such, the above information should be taken with the usual helping of salt until the publisher states otherwise.
