Sony has released a new firmware update for the PS4, PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro.
Numbered 5.03, the latest firmware update is one of the less significant ones in terms of adding new features. Instead, it continues the theme of improving performance by enhancing stability and security across Sony’s family of home consoles.
Despite the lack of ground-breaking additions, players will still be required to install the update, which clocks in at the rather small 357.3MB to continue playing online.
The release of Update 5.03 comes just weeks after Sony released a far more impressive patch in 5.00, which offered among many things, new features including child account management, improved friends list system and the option to output content at 1080p and 60fps on Twitch for PS4 Pro streamers.
To update with 5.03 using your PS4 go to [Settings] > [System Software Update] and click ‘Next’ and then ‘Update’.
