After a 7-year development stint, Cuphead proved to be very much worth the wait.
Developer Studio MDHR finally released its frantic 1930’s cartoon-inspired shooter onto Xbox One and PC on September 29th to huge critical acclaim from both critics and players alike, and now it seems the developer has further plans for Cuphead.
Responding to a Twitter user, the developer has said that it has plans for a physical release, and also a Collector’s Edition of Cuphead.
We have plans — and will eventually have a physical release (collector's edition, etc)! 🙂

With such a great response coming on the back of its long-awaited digital release, it’s hardly surprising that the developer would look to further cash in on Cuphead‘s success with a physical release.
If you haven’t already, you can read our review by heading HERE to find out why Megan Walton scored Cuphead 9/10.
Despite its beautiful hand-drawn 1930’s art style, banging jazz soundtrack and adorable looking protagonists Cuphead is by no means an easy ride. In fact, it’s intentionally hard! But that’s part of its loveable charm. 2D boss fights meet 2D platformer as players take on the role of Cuphead and quite possibly, Mugman if you’re a fan of couch co-op, to team up and take down some of the wackiest looking bosses in the history of video games entertainment.
Cuphead is out now for Xbox One and PC.
