Nintendo has announced a partnership with cereal maker Kellogg’s to bring Super Mario themed cereal to the supermarket shelves of the US.
On its website, Nintendo describes Super Mario Cereal as being a mixed berry cereal with marshmallows shaped to resemble power-ups from the iconic series with a mixture of red and green mushrooms along with yellow question mark blocks.
As if that wasn’t interesting or tasty enough for Nintendo fans, the box functions as an Amiibo, that when scanned by the Nintendo Switch console, unlock bonus hearts and coins for Mario in the former plumbers latest adventure Super Mario Odyssey.
At the time of writing, Super Mario Cereal is only destined for US shores with Kellogg’s UK Twitter account confirming as much.
According to Nintendo, Super Mario Cereal should hit store shelves from December 11th, so just in time for Christmas.
