All new Microsoft Studios titles will be added to Xbox Game Pass the same day they are released worldwide, Microsoft has announced.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers currently pay a monthly fee of £7.99 to gain access to over 160 full games from the Xbox 360 and Xbox One libraries, but will soon have access to Microsoft exclusive games on their release day.
So what does this announcement mean for subscribers?
Starting with Rare’s Sea of Thieves, future Microsoft Studios published titles will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers the same day it launches globally, allowing players full access to the swash-buckling pirate game for a no additional fee from March 20th. Further titles to be added to Xbox One’s Game Pass on day one include State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3.
The news is likely to come as a welcome surprise for current subscribers, who up until now have been limited to dated games.
